Job Description
As a Power Line Technician, you will discharge responsibilities and practice trades qualifications, performing standby duties, training new employees, and assisting with lower classification duties. The role requires a Journeyman Powerline Technician Interprovincial Certificate or a Lineman Trades Qualification Certificate, familiarity with electric utility transmission and distribution systems, and a valid Class 3 driver’s license with air brake endorsement.
Requirements
- Holder of a Journeyman Powerline Technician Interprovincial Certificate or a Lineman Trades Qualification Certificate
- Be familiar with and experienced in electric utility transmission and distribution systems, protective and safety devices and their clearances and isolating procedures
- Holder of a valid Class 3 driver’s license with air brake endorsement
