Fortitude Reinsurance Company Ltd. is seeking a Vice President, Investment Accounting Policy to lead technical research on complex investment transactions under U.S. GAAP and U.S. Statutory accounting requirements. The role will involve collaboration with the investment office and financial reporting team to ensure accurate accounting and compliance with regulatory frameworks.
Requirements
- Serve as technical specialist for complex investment asset classes and structures under U.S. GAAP and U.S. Statutory accounting
- Main point of contact for investment office for complex transactions and structures
- Proactively adopt and integrate AI-powered tools and platforms into research and execution workflows
- Be a trusted resource for investment accounting team regarding technical accounting matters
- Assist in researching, assessing, and documenting accounting implications for significant or unusual transactions
- Monitoring, analyzing, and documenting developments from FASB, SEC, and NAIC that could impact accounting policies, practices, and disclosures
- Contribute to documentation of financial processes and controls to promote compliance with internal control program
- Provide real-time advice regarding U.S. GAAP and U.S. Statutory accounting policy implications
- Provide training and coaching to new and existing staff as needed
