Janitor

The Janitor will maintain a clean and comfortable environment for residents at Blakehurst, a Life Plan Community in Towson, MD. The role involves understanding and following instructions, working as a team member, and performing physical tasks such as lifting and pushing carts.

Requirements

• Understand and follow instructions and communicate effectively
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment and cleaning chemicals/solvents and demonstrated ability to work safely with them
• Can learn the methods of cleaning and caring for buildings and equipment
• Work as a team member in a structured working environment
• Can handle multiple tasks and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Three to six months experience in housekeeping or custodial position preferred
