Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Engineer

Role Overview

The SMT Engineer is responsible for supporting day-to-day Surface Mount Technology & Underfill line execution by monitoring production progress, driving KPI performance, and coordinating cross-functional resources to remove bottlenecks.

What You Will Do

Monitor real-time production status, output, and WIP to ensure schedule attainment and on-time delivery. Track key shopfloor indicators such as throughput, cycle time, downtime, and bottleneck stations; initiate recovery actions when gaps are identified.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of production management experience in the electronics manufacturing industry
• Associate’s degree (or above) with 2+ years of production management experience in electronics manufacturing
• Strong ability to manage shopfloor execution, prioritize issues, and drive quick recovery actions under pressure
• Good communication and coordination skills to work effectively across multiple functions
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing quality concepts and problem-solving methodologies
