Nurse Practitioner- Part Time or PRN

The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) provides comprehensive, patient-centered primary care services in a Rural Health Clinic (RHC) setting, emphasizing preventative care, chronic disease management, acute care treatment, and health education for patients across the lifespan.

Requirements

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner in the State of Louisiana
• CPR and ACLS certification
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR)
• Interpersonal skills and compassion
• Analyzing information, critical thinking, and problem solving
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy
• Basic computer skills
• Capable of adapting to a changing, high stress, and fast paced environment
• Ability to work independently as well as function as a team member
• Ability to move about the office and facility to perform job functions and provide services
• Ability to work in a fast paced stressful environment
• Operates a computer, office, and patient care machinery
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, visitors, coworkers, etc.
• Ability to observe details at close range
• Frequently move boxes, equipment, etc. weighing up to 20 pounds across the office
• Frequently assist with pushing, pulling, lifting, transferring, or repositioning patients, up to 50 lbs
