The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) provides comprehensive, patient-centered primary care services in a Rural Health Clinic (RHC) setting, emphasizing preventative care, chronic disease management, acute care treatment, and health education for patients across the lifespan.
Requirements
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner in the State of Louisiana
- CPR and ACLS certification
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR)
- Interpersonal skills and compassion
- Analyzing information, critical thinking, and problem solving
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy
- Basic computer skills
- Capable of adapting to a changing, high stress, and fast paced environment
- Ability to work independently as well as function as a team member
- Ability to move about the office and facility to perform job functions and provide services
- Ability to work in a fast paced stressful environment
- Operates a computer, office, and patient care machinery
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, visitors, coworkers, etc.
- Ability to observe details at close range
- Frequently move boxes, equipment, etc. weighing up to 20 pounds across the office
- Frequently assist with pushing, pulling, lifting, transferring, or repositioning patients, up to 50 lbs
