The Fraunhofer Institute for Production Engineering and Automation in Berlin is looking for a master's student to work on a thesis project that focuses on integrating knowledge graphs in Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems. The goal is to develop an application that represents structured domain knowledge in a knowledge graph and makes it usable for context-dependent information provision by Large Language Models (LLMs).

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology in Mechanical Engineering, Computational Engineering, or related fields
• Programming knowledge in Python
• Experience with (graph) databases (e.g., Neo4j, PostgreSQL)
• Knowledge in NLP and LLM frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph)
