The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft is seeking a researcher to work in the Department of Energy Policy and Energy Markets at the Karlsruhe location. The position involves conducting research on European and German energy policy, designing policy instruments, and analyzing energy market data. The successful candidate will work in a team on interdisciplinary research projects and develop further in project management.
Requirements
- Completed scientific university degree in economics, economics engineering, natural sciences, or another relevant field
- Interest in developing scientific qualifications through a doctorate
- Motivation for working in applied research to achieve energy transition and climate protection goals
- Knowledge of energy-related, policy-related, and/or technical issues in the field of energy system analysis
- Experiences with quantitative and possibly also qualitative methods, modeling and programming knowledge
- Quick comprehension and familiarization with new subject areas, interest in shaping and participating in applied research projects
- Teamwork ability, high level of independence and cooperation, interest in interdisciplinary work
- Good expression in German and English, ability to present work results orally and in writing in a convincing manner
