The Fraunhofer Society is seeking a Scientific/Medical FPGA Development and Control Technology Position. The role involves designing and implementing FPGA designs, creating system concepts, developing innovative control concepts, driving research projects forward, communicating scientific results, and mentoring young scientists. The position requires a scientific university degree in Automation Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Technical Informatics, Microsystem Technology, Physical Technology, or a comparable study program, as well as practical experience in working with FPGAs, microcontrollers, and programming languages such as Python, C/C++, and VHDL.
Requirements
- Scientific university degree in Automation Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Technical Informatics, Microsystem Technology, Physical Technology, or a comparable study program
- Practical experience in working with FPGAs, including the creation of IO constraints as well as simulation and static timing analysis (STA)
- Skills in working with at least one of the languages VHDL, Verilog, or SystemC
- Practical experience with microcontrollers or embedded systems
- Good programming skills in Python as well as C/C++
- Knowledge of the basics of control technology
