Job Description
The Head Theatre Arts Director will plan and implement an instructional program for the campus theatre program, coordinating with the Assistant Theatre Director. The incumbent will teach theatre courses, manage the instructional program, and ensure student achievement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Theatre, Theatre Education, or a related field
- Master's Degree preferred
- Valid Teaching Certification Issued by Texas Education Agency
- Theatre Certification
- Minimum of 3 years of Full-time teaching experience preferred
- Effective oral and written communications skills
- Demonstrated proficiency of proper acting techniques in a variety of genres
- Ability to interact appropriately with the public, District staff, and parents
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues on the campus and in the instructional feeder pattern
