Requirements
- Academic background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields
- Proven experience in COBOL software development in professional environments
- Strong proficiency in COBOL programming, including control structures, file handling, and database interactions
- Familiarity with mainframe environments, including z/OS, z/VM, and database systems like DB2
- Experience in integrating COBOL-based legacy systems with modern applications via APIs, messaging, or web services
- Ability to maintain, debug, and modernize legacy COBOL systems, preserving functionality while introducing enhancements
- Skill in identifying and resolving complex issues in COBOL systems, including logic errors, performance problems, and integration challenges
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving project requirements and tech stacks
- Fluency in English
