
Job description
As an Electrical Authorising Engineer, you will be an important member of the Engineering Team and will be required to work with the Electrical Designated Individual, Project Leads, Delivery Management and other Electrical Authorising Engineers. You will be responsible for the assessment, appointment and auditing of Electrical Authorised Persons within the Environment Division as well as ongoing monitoring of electrical safety operations to ensure compliance with the overall Electrical Safety Standard and subsequent Electrical Safety Rules and procedures.
You will support each framework leadership team in identifying and ensuring that suitable controls are in place for electrical safety management on projects. You will provide advice and support from an electrical safety standpoint for the procurement of suitable contractors as well as providing advice, support and mentoring to both potential and existing Electrical Authorised Persons.
You will be required to act as a Subject Matter Expert with respect to Electrical Safety and Electrical Safety Management and support the Health and Safety team with incident investigations taking the lead from an Electrical Safety Perspective. You will be a point of contact for Electrical Safety within the Environment Division and provide advice and support to all stakeholders relating to electrical safety.
