Site Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking a Site Manager to join our team at Galliford Try. The ideal candidate will be based in or around the Northumberland area and will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects in the Region. The Site Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating all site activities, including labour, plant, staff, and equipment, to achieve project completion on time, within budget, and to specification.

What You Will Do

The Site Manager will be responsible for managing site teams effectively, monitoring performance, developing skills, and fostering a positive working environment. They will also be responsible for resolving on-site issues promptly and effectively, maintaining accurate site records, and liaising with clients, consultants, and stakeholders as required.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a Site Manager in construction projects and strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and site management best practices.

Requirements

• Significant experience of working on design and build projects
• Experience of managing all aspects of the build process
• Proven experience as a Site Manager in construction projects
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and site management best practices
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS card, First Aid)
• Experience in managing Temporary Works
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
