Supervisor - Lifting

Responsible for overseeing the set-up, maintenance and safe and efficient operations of the lifting equipment, coordinating and supervising all lifting activities in accordance with regulations.

Requirements

• Lifting Supervisor certificate
• Supervise and coordinate all lifting operations on the job site
• Prepare and review lifting plans, method statements, and risk assessments
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings with lifting teams
• Monitor lifting crew (crane operators, riggers, and signalmen) to ensure safe practices
• Ensure all lifting activities comply with health and safety regulations (e.g., LOLER, OSHA)
• Identify and mitigate potential hazards before and during lifting operations
• Liaise with clients, engineers, and subcontractors regarding lifting needs and schedules
• Maintain accurate documentation related to lifting operations and equipment
• Report and investigate incidents or near-misses involving lifting activities
