EC Teacher - Adaptive Curriculum @ HH Beam Elementary

This position is for an Exceptional Children (EC) Teacher at HH Beam Elementary in Gastonia, North Carolina. The teacher will provide special education services to students with disabilities, developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to assist them in achieving academic, behavioral, and social skills. Responsibilities include lesson planning, adapting materials, monitoring student progress, and maintaining records in compliance with state and federal guidelines. The role requires a strong understanding of special education laws and the ability to manage student behavior and personal needs.

Requirements

• Must be licensed in Special Education/Adapted Curriculum (88092) or eligible for licensure.
• Experience in teaching students with severe disabilities.
• Must be able to use a variety of equipment and classroom tools.
• Must be able to exert a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
