Food Service Worker

The Food Service Worker will be responsible for preparing meals for patients, clients, staff, guests, and special functions, maintaining high standards of quality food production and portion control, and maintaining a sanitized and organized work area.

Requirements

• Utilizes hairnets, aprons, gloves and washes hands frequently.
• Unlock or lock kitchen doors.
• Record the temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, food and steam table.
• Prepare/serve designed foods for shift. Read the menus.
• Starts tray line within established time frame. Limit talking business. Serve proper portions per established guidelines. Garnishes appropriately per policy.
• Maintains work area in a sanitary fashion.
• Prepare late tray. Wash pots, sweeps and mop the kitchen floors.
• Store leftovers w/label with date.
• Checks menus for next day and pulls product appropriately.
• Assists Food Service Worker with soiled dishes and food carts.
• Works cooperatively and effectively with others.
• Clock in and out per policy and procedure.
• Attends work as scheduled.
• Attends meetings and in- service as directed.
• Practices grooming standards per dress code.
• Performs other additional tasks as directed.
