Traveling Low Voltage Systems Electrician position with Gaylor Electric, Inc. requires installation of category structured cabling distribution systems, installation of telecommunication outlets, cables, fire stopping, and supports. Strong working knowledge of TIA and BICSI Standards is required.
Requirements
- Physically install category structured cabling distribution systems
- Installation of telecommunication outlets, cables, fire stopping, and supports
- Install, terminate and certify both multi-mode and single-mode fiber
- Proficient with the proper use of trade hand and power tools
- Experience in reading and interpreting engineered drawings, submittals, and operational/product manuals
- Ability to install, test, modify, and repair a wide range of support equipment
- Adept at using test equipment in the testing and troubleshooting of data circuits and fiber optic cabling
- Proficient with the installation components within Telecommunications Equipment Rooms
- Comprehensive knowledge of fiber-optic, coax and network cable, and telecommunications/electronic installation procedures
- Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs
