Safety Manager - Cement Manufacturing

The Safety Manager will be responsible for carrying out procedures to control accidents and health exposures in the company and minimize regulatory violations. They will provide guidance, awareness, and solutions to ensure safe and reliable operations. The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to multitask. The Safety Manager will interact with the workforce in the field on a daily basis, building relationships and providing safety expertise.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university preferred
• At least 5 years related experience managing the safety program for an organization
• Minimum 3 years MSHA experience strongly desired
• Certified training for dust/silica & noise sampling strongly desired
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals, and training presentations
• Experience with Microsoft Office programs
• Ability to effectively develop presentations, deliver the information, and respond to questions from all levels of employees
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to focus on details and understand the overall impact of events and decisions
