
Job description
As a Training Specialist, you will work with the Training Team to provide technical and tactical training at Aegis Training and Readiness Center Dahlgren, VA. You will be responsible for instructing Navy candidates on the systems for defense of the ship and ships around them, using your Navy skills to teach new candidates. You will design, develop, and deliver training programs to train all levels of personnel.
You will prepare and conduct training programs, teach classes, hold seminars and discussion groups. You will develop tests and visual aids, conduct training classes, and develop criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities.
You will need to have a bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline, and/or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work/military experience. You will also need to have a minimum of 8 years of USN experience as an Aegis Fire Controlman, and be current or recently former USN Fire Control Technician (AEGIS).
