Cloud Architect

Role Overview

As a Cloud Architect, you will help ensure the mission is never interrupted by designing, deploying, and optimizing cloud-native solutions on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform. You will play a critical role in architecting secure, scalable, and resilient cloud environments tailored to our customers' requirements.

What You Will Do

Architects, designs, and implements cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services such as Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Step Functions, and AI/ML offerings (Bedrock, SageMaker, Amazon Q). Defines cloud architectures for new and existing systems, emphasizing automation, cost efficiency, and mission resilience.

The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in designing, deploying, and optimizing solutions on the AWS platform, including experience with AWS native AI/ML services, serverless architectures, and cloud-first migration and modernization patterns.

Requirements

• 15+ years of related experience
• 8+ years of experience architecting cloud solutions
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional
• Extensive experience designing and deploying AWS-based solutions through infrastructure as code and a CI/CD pipeline
• Experience creating and contributing technical material to federal, state and local proposals and creating cloud architectures
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, as well as independently with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges
