
Job description
This Lead Engineer position is for the Mechanical System Design team supporting Military NPI Programs. In this position, you will contribute to the design and development of various Mechanical Systems related hardware or sub-systems such that the meet integrated requirements of the engine. This role also involves early project management tasks and mentorship opportunities to less experienced team members through cross-functional processes to support execution of the team’s tasks.
Execute the design and analysis of various Mechanical Systems hardware by applying engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements with guidance from experienced teammates and technical experts.
Exhibit autonomy to make decisions within a defined requirements framework while resolving design challenges in situations which require technical knowledge and judgement. Demonstrate systems-thinking mentality to understand how work of one’s team integrates with others to achieve product requirements.
