
Job description
As a Staff Hardware Engineer, you will lead the development of new electrical products and systems from concept into production, ensuring designs are manufacturable, reliable, and compliant with industry standards. You will work in the Hardware Engineering department, shaping technical direction across programs and helping raise the engineering bar for the broader team.
Your responsibilities will include leading technical execution for electrical and system design, partnering with design, manufacturing, embedded, supply chain, and quality teams, and influencing technical plans, risk management, and execution priorities for complex NPI programs.
You will contribute to collaborative engineering decisions spanning system architecture, production test strategy, thermal design, antenna performance, mechanical integration, and compliance. Your insights, technical judgment, and mentorship will be instrumental to the cooperative effort that is foundational to ecobee product development.
