Staff Mechanical Components QA Engineer

Role Overview

Join Generac's growing team as a Staff Mechanical Components Quality Engineer. You will serve as a technical liaison between Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Contract Manufacturing partners to ensure scalable, high-quality production of solar energy storage products. This role requires flexible work hours and up to 25-30% travel.

What You Will Do

Own all aspects of mechanical components quality, lead quality initiatives, and drive consistent delivery of high-quality products to Generac customers. Collaborate with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Testing teams to ensure quality and reliability targets are met.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 7 years of manufacturing high reliability electronic, electromechanical or products with a focus on quality management
• Strong experience with solder chemistries/processing, electronics cleaning and cleanliness validation processes, conformal coating and potting
• Solid quantitative skill set and the ability to analyze and communicate with well-supported data
• Knowledge of PCB design capability
• Ability to analyze and interpret dimensional measurements and GD&T callouts
