Senior Network and Cyber Systems Engineer

Role Overview

As a Senior Network and Cyber System Engineer, you will execute cybersecurity operations and network engineering tasks across secure environments. This is a dual-role position split evenly between cybersecurity engineering and network engineering. You will contribute to maintaining the security posture and operation of information systems while performing the configuration, troubleshooting, and design support of network infrastructure.

What You Will Do

Perform day-to-day operation and maintenance of secure network infrastructures such as SIPRNet and other classified networks. Configure, install, and troubleshoot Cisco routers and switches, Palo Alto firewall appliances, and TACLANE encryptors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus 6 months of relevant experience
• Department of Defense Secret security clearance
• U.S. citizenship
• Considerable understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, subnetting, routing protocols, firewall operations, and network virtualization
• Considerable understanding of cybersecurity principles, including Risk Management Framework (RMF), STIGs, DIACAP, and government security specifications and guidelines
• Experience with Linux and/or Windows based information systems
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly, as well as navigate complex systems and scenarios
