Job description
The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring supplier-delivered products and services meet GDMS quality standards, while also providing quality support to the manufacturing floor as needed. This role is part of a team that develops technologies, products, and services for the Department of Defense, government agencies, and commercial clients.
Evaluating, qualifying, and monitoring suppliers for compliance with quality requirements, conducting supplier audits, assessments, and corrective action follow-ups, managing supplier nonconformances, and supporting nonconformance disposition and MRB activities on the manufacturing floor.
The ideal candidate has experience in supplier quality or manufacturing quality, knowledge of ISO 9001, GD&T, and quality management systems, and proficiency in reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions for conformance to requirements.
