Manufacturing Engineer

General Motors is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support Driveline Assembly operations in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The successful candidate will lead and support manufacturing engineering activities focused on safety, quality, throughput, cost, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced assembly environment.

Requirements

• Support daily manufacturing engineering needs for driveline assembly operations, including troubleshooting equipment, process, tooling, quality, and material flow issues
• Lead root cause problem solving for safety, quality, downtime, and throughput losses using structured methods and data-driven analysis
• Develop, implement, and improve assembly processes to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to ergonomics, standardized work, scrap reduction, cycle time, and OEE
• Partner with production, maintenance, quality, controls, materials, and launch teams to deliver robust manufacturing solutions
