Production Technician

Role Overview

The PIC Production Technician is responsible for specialized swine care and technical reporting, along with additional husbandry tasks to ensure the well-being of the animals. This role is conducted in direct support of the efforts of our agricultural sciences professionals and our laboratory research in Canada.

What You Will Do

Daily animal husbandry tasks in support of breeding and scientific research, including pig placement, healthcare, feeding management, environment management, and production records keeping.

Requirements

• Animal sciences degree/diploma/certificate
• Previous livestock handling, preferred
• Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment
• Ability to follow instructions and deal with standardized situations
• Ability to work in and maintain performance expectations in a fast-paced environment
