Part-Time Commissary Technician

The Part-Time Commissary Technician is responsible for preparing diets, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the commissary, and assisting with inventory management. The technician must have a flexible schedule and be able to work nights, weekends, and on call.

Requirements

• BS/BA degree in biology, nutrition, animal science, food management, or related
• Direct experience with aquatic animals
• Food service or preparation experience (human or animal)
• Understanding of food service sanitation
• Flexible schedule
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• Effective problem analysis and resolution skills
• Ability to be flexible and shift priorities to meet departmental requirements
• Motor coordination and manual dexterity required to safely handle sharp knives
• Ability to detect signs of deterioration in foods
• Ability to be self-motivated and able to function in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
