Operators will ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards, adjusting machine components and reporting malfunctions to a supervisor.
Requirements
- Work effectively and efficiently with teammate to package products to the best of their capability.
- Adjust machine components and machine tension and pressure according to size or processing angle of product.
- Remove finished packaged items from machine and separate rejected items.
- Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor.
- Regulate machine flow, speed, or temperature.
- Ability to work with a variety of equipment, while keeping area clean, organized and free of clutter.
- Perform metal detector verification to ensure product is free of metal.
- Complete paperwork which includes downtime, machine log, and batch Orders.
- Assist with team directing during change over and/or cleaning.
- Report any safety matters or malfunctions to the line lead person, or Supervisor.
- Perform all job functions within required General Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).
- Understand and use production standards, specifications and advise when producing inefficiently.
- Keep accurate and legible documentation.
- Work with maintenance to help trouble shooting of machine problems.
- Verify that product meets quality standards, while counting and recording finished and rejected packaged items.
- Clean, oil, and make minor adjustments or repairs to machinery and equipment, such as opening valves or setting guides.
