Junior AV/VTC Network Engineer

Role Overview

GCA is seeking a Junior AV/VTC Network Engineer to support our contract with the U.S. Army TRADOC VTC/AV Support Services program. This position will assist the Lead Engineer with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Video Teleconferencing (VTC) and Audio-Visual (AV) systems.

What You Will Do

Assist with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network switches and related infrastructure, support day-to-day operations of LAN connectivity for AV/VTC systems and conference room environments, and troubleshoot AV signal flow, audio/video distribution, and endpoint connectivity.

The ideal candidate will have foundational knowledge of networking concepts as they relate to AV/VTC environments and a willingness to grow technically within the role. Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills are also required.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, subnetting, ports, latency, and connectivity troubleshooting) as applied to AV/VTC systems
• Familiarity with Cisco VTC codecs and video conferencing technologies
• Understanding of audio/video signal flow and AV integration principles
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and rack layouts
• Active Secret clearance
• IAT Level I Certification (CompTIA Network+, CompTIA A+, or higher)
