Job description
Design and engineer lighting, power, low voltage, and associated control systems for new construction and/or renovation of industrial, commercial, educational, governmental and healthcare structures. Provide engineering to develop construction documents for the installation, interconnection, and control of electrical, architectural and mechanical components.
Design and analyze electrical systems, manage or lead a project team, review and establish project scope, electrical budget, design approach, and applicable constraints, prepare feasibility studies and schematic design packages, perform production and quality monitoring of construction documents, communicate and work with all other disciplines, develop and mentor less experienced staff, conduct field measuring and checking at the project site, maintain organized project file, edit or draft project specifications, review project submittals, respond to RFIs, develop accurate project cost estimates.
12+ years of related experience in design and engineering of power distribution/lighting systems, experience with short-circuit analysis, protective device coordination and arc flash hazard analysis, knowledge and application skills for design of facilities power and lighting systems, design team leadership, proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD, proficiency in short-circuit analysis, protective device coordination and arc flash hazard software, excellent written and verbal communication, strong attention to detail.
