Job Description
The Camp Counselor participates in the implementation of Girl Scout programming, ensures safety of the campers, and encourages the success of every camper. The position is responsible for implementation of high-quality high ropes, low ropes and/or archery programming at La Casita Day Camp.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or be a high school graduate by the start of camp.
- Must be available for 4 weeks of day camp (June 15, 2026 – July 10, 2026) and training dates that will be scheduled prior to camp.
- Must possess and maintain a valid CPR/First Aid Certification throughout the position’s employment dates.
- Must submit a basic health history form as set by the American Camping Association.
- Must hold current archery and/or high ropes certifications or willing to obtain by the start of camp.
- Ability to spend time sitting, utilizing the computer, and standing and walking throughout the facilities.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds periodically.
- Must possess endurance including prolonged standing, some bending, stooping, and stretching.
