Job Description
Glacier Fish Company is seeking a skilled Oiler/Wiper for its commercial fishing vessel in Alaska to produce frozen-at-sea groundfish products. The company emphasizes quality, safety, and consistent attention to detail, and has been a leading producer of frozen seafood for decades. The role involves operational duties including grease maintenance, monitoring, and collaboration with all department heads.
Requirements
- 1+ year experience as an Oiler/Wiper preferred
- Work 12-13 hours/day for 7 days/week in all weather conditions
- Repetitively lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Self-motivated team-player
- Ability to climb and descend stairs and vertical ladders
- Willingness to share spaces with crew and others
- Knowledge of company safety manual and procedures
- EPA Section 608 knowledge and understanding of company safety manual and procedures
