The Career Services Coordinator (Education and Workforce) position is responsible for building strong relationships with employers in NYC's tech and media industries to connect program participants to internships, apprenticeships, and full-time employment. The role involves proactive employer outreach, participant job matching, coaching for job readiness, and compliance-driven data tracking and reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or 2+ years of relevant workforce development experience serving vulnerable populations
- Established network/relationships with funders, employers, hiring companies, job training programs, and educational opportunity providers across New York City
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, networking, negotiation (conflict management and resolution), and presentation skills
- Ability to work some flexible hours (e.g., evenings and weekends)
- Strong knowledge of NYC labor market, youth employment barriers, and employer engagement and understanding of career pathways within Technology & Media Production industries
- Demonstrated experience supervising staff and leading with cultural competence
- Proficient in data systems (e.g., Salesforce, Efforts to Outcomes, DYCD Connect) and MS Office Suite
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required
