RN FLOAT MS/ICU

This RN position provides professional nursing care for adult patients in the Medical-Surgical Unit. The RN will act as a direct patient care provider, providing guidance and supervision to other healthcare professionals and collaborating with the Nurse Manager to ensure high-quality care. This role involves assessment, documentation, patient education, and participation in department committees.

Requirements

• Organizes patient care and general unit activities to accomplish required functions.
• Maintains required documentation of patient care and unit activities.
• Validates documentation of all required elements of patient care.
• Provides health care teaching to the patient, family, or significant other with documentation of responses to this teaching.
• Adapts teaching to the age, developmental level, and cognition state of each patient to promote maximum understanding.
• Participates in Unit performance improvement activities.
