As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish, working with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in telecommunications, low-voltage, fiber-optics, or critical systems construction management.
- 5 years of experience in program management and managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- 5 years of experience in contracting, including negotiations, drafting, and managing vendor relationships in the infrastructure, construction, or a related industry.
- Certified RCDD, PMP, or similar industry certifications.
- 10 years of experience in project or construction management with network infrastructure (i.e., fiber optic cabling, cable tray, racks, etc.).
- Experience in requirements gathering, resource organization, task prioritization, scheduling, and achieving objectives on schedule and within budget.
- Experience working in data centers or similar environments where work involves impact to core functionalities and is governed with formal change control processes.
- Experience managing vendor relationships and understanding of standard practices in the design and construction industry.
- Knowledge of fast track design builds processes and associated documents and agreements.
