Maintenance Electrician - Night Shift

Role Overview

Graham Packaging is looking for a Maintenance Electrician based in Evansville, Indiana. This is a night shift position that operates from 11pm-7am on a Sunday through Thursday schedule. The Maintenance Electrician will perform preventative and reactive maintenance on all production equipment and building.

What You Will Do

Troubleshoot, maintain and repair systems using electrical, mechanical and processing skills. Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on all production equipment and building. Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fibre-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and/or other electrical components.

Requirements

• Two year Associate Degree in electrical related field (plus)
• Minimum of five years industrial maintenance electrician experience (preferred)
• Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance
• Computer usage and typing skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Competent with PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Beckhoff)
• Extensive training and thorough understanding and operation of PLC programming, wiring and troubleshooting
• Proficient use of electrical testing equipment
• Ability to interpret and work from all electrical schematics
• Ability to assemble, troubleshoot, and repair equipment from electrical drawings
• Working knowledge of electrical components (power circuits, switch gears, motors, etc.)
• Complete understanding of basic electrical theories (Ohm's Law, parallel and serial wiring, etc.)
