Service Technician

Role Overview

A Service Technician performs multiple tasks related to preventative maintenance and repair of heavy-duty trucks. The position is part of the expanding team at Great Dane, a leading manufacturer of dry-freight vans, refrigerated trailers, and flatbeds.

What You Will Do

Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform quality maintenance and repair of trailers. Build, rebuild, and repair all parts of trailer equipment to specifications as assigned.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Previous mechanical, carpentry, or technician experience is required. Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled service department and lift up to 50 lbs.

Requirements

• Previous mechanical, carpentry, or technician experience
• Ability to work with hands to use tools and work on mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance tasks
• Ability to install parts requiring the ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to examine system parts & safety devices looking for damage, excessive wear, and structural deficiencies
• Must furnish own hand tools
• Favorable background screening, Physical & Drug Screening, and proof of work authorization in the United States
