SENIOR UNDERWRITER- BROKER ASSUMED REINSURANCE

The Senior Underwriter - Broker Assumed Reinsurance develops and maintains long-term business relationships with reinsurance brokers and ceding company executive and management leadership to support profitable business opportunities and reinsurance solutions in the marketplace. This position manages a portfolio of assumed reinsurance business and underwrites broker produced reinsurance business, supporting junior underwriting staff as needed. The role also requires negotiation of contract terms with brokers and collaboration on division and corporate projects with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Three (3) to five (5) years of property and casualty reinsurance underwriting related experience
• Demonstrated skill set in best practices related to the reinsurance industry
• Experience working with reinsurance brokers
• Industry designations preferred (e.g. ARe, CPCU, ARM, CFA, CPA, FCAS)
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate risk and potential profitability of accounts
