Trading Analyst Intern

Role Overview

Support operations on the Chicago Board Options Exchange, working in a high-pressure trading environment. College students from various backgrounds, including mathematics, economics, physics, engineering, or computer science, are encouraged to apply.

What You Will Do

Anticipate traders' needs, balance position discrepancies, and report pertinent information to management. Articulately voice needs to IT, vendors, and other market makers. Develop fluency with market research and order entry applications.

Requirements

• Keen awareness of critical situations
• Ability to shift from fast market to slow market conditions quickly and efficiently
• Anticipate the needs of traders throughout the day
• Quick comprehension and delivery of tasks
• Balance/resolve position discrepancies before opening bell
• Notify trading staff of unexpected position changes intra-day
• Ability to filter information to trading staff by necessity
• Reporting pertinent information to management in a timely fashion
• Excellent computer skills including some programming skills
• Fluency with market research and order entry applications
• Excellent math, probability, game theory skills
