Youth Specialist

The Youth Specialist position is responsible for the 24-hour care, supervision, safety, and welfare of the Girlstown residents. The position requires working with teenagers who have experienced trauma and provides a unique opportunity to make a positive impact in their lives.

Requirements

• Associates degree in Social Work or related field preferred
• Knowledge and experience in working with abuse/neglect teenagers preferred
• Must be trained in First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Commitment to the goals and philosophy of the organization including cultural competency objectives
• Ability to provide direction and supervision to residents
• Experience in leading groups and therapeutic activities
• Highly motivated and flexible
• Sophisticated writing and interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently or with a team
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, Project
