The Shoreside Tankerman is seeking a Person-in-Charge to operate critical operations with the responsibility of safely transferring dangerous liquid cargo. This role involves inspections, cargo handling, equipment maintenance, and adherence to regulations. The position requires a strong commitment to safety and ensuring the wellbeing of those involved.

Requirements

• Receive and confirm orders from dispatch and report discrepancies.
• Inspect barge, verify compliance with US Coast Guard requirements, and complete the Declaration of Inspection (DOI).
• Perform maintenance on barge pump engines, valve packs, and winch lines.
• Connect cargo arm or hose and align the barge's valves.
• Complete and sign the Declaration of Inspection (DOI).
• Keep cargo arm/hose connected and prepare the barge for sail.
