Entry Level Geotechnical Engineer

GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. seeks an Entry Level Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Norwood or Amesbury, Massachusetts. The successful candidate will have a strong academic record, solid understanding of geotechnical engineering fundamentals, and a desire to work on a variety of underground projects. The role involves executing subsurface exploration, performing field construction observation, evaluating field data, and writing technical reports. GZA is an employee-owned multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm with a history of over 60 years of providing innovative engineering solutions.

Requirements

• BS degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
• Engineer in Training (EIT) is a plus
• Effective communication, problem solving and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical capabilities
• Ability to work independently or in a team setting
• Strong interpersonal skills resulting in exceptional rapport with people
• Ability to understand design drawings and relate them to construction activities
• Ability to work locally and regionally
• Valid driver’s license in good standing
