
Job description
The Rig Manager is responsible for the safe operation of the facility, including the work site, equipment, and personnel. They direct and supervise work, determine priorities, and schedule work assignments. The role involves analyzing and overseeing drilling operations, identifying areas for improvement, and developing programs to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
The Rig Manager will evaluate well bores, prepare reports, and serve as a liaison with leased oil site operating personnel. They will also plan and direct teams to erect, dismantle, and move drilling rigs, and monitor the conditions of drilling rigs and equipment.
The ideal candidate will have proven leadership skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a commitment to H&P's core values and Health, Safety, and Environmental standards. They will be able to communicate effectively with partner/customers, handle concerns and performance reviews, and ensure customer satisfaction.
