As a Retail Sales Associate 1 at Habitat for Humanity of Kansas City, you play a crucial role in supporting our mission to provide affordable housing and critical home repair solutions to families in our community. You will be the face of our organization, interacting with guest shopping, donors dropping off merchandise, and volunteers in our retail store environment.

Requirements

• Participate in safety training programs, identify, and report any potential hazards, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our safety culture.
• Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems, handling cash, credit, donation request and debit card payments efficiently.
• Educate guest about Habitat for Humanity of Kansas City’s mission and programs, encouraging donations and participation in volunteer opportunities.
• Address guest concerns or complaints in a professional and timely manner, striving to achieve positive experience.
• Assist with receiving, organizing, and restocking inventory on the sales floor, ensuring shelves are neat, clean, product priced, and well-maintained.
• Collaborate with volunteers to accomplish tasks such as stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and maintaining store cleanliness.
• Provide friendly and knowledgeable assistance to guest, helping them find products, answering questions, loading, and offering guidance on purchases.
• Implement and maintain creative and visually appealing displays that highlight featured products and promotions.
• Process donations by cleaning, testing functionality, completing minor repairs and pricing.
