Live Captioner

We are looking for Live Captioners for academic disciplines in San Jose, California and surrounding regions. Captioners will type information on a laptop in an academic setting and provide transcription of instructor speech. Strong writing, editing, and analytical skills are required, as well as flexibility and ability to work independently.

Requirements

• Completed post secondary education or about to graduate
• Studied and excelled in a variety of subjects
• Typing speed of 60+ wpm
• Comfortable in an academic environment
• Sensitivity to the needs of people with disabilities
• Strong writing and editing skills
• Ability to analyze and process information quickly
• Ability to work independently
