Costume Draper

Join Hale Centre Theatre as a Costume Draper to bring the Designer's vision to life for our diverse productions. This role involves translating design, patterning and draping, overseeing production, managing materials, ensuring fit, leading and collaborating, and researching and honoring design.

Requirements

• MFA in Costume Design/Technology or 5+ years of experience in patterning and draping
• Proficiency in flat pattern making and draping
• Knowledge of various costume construction and tailoring techniques
• Understanding of time-period shapes and costume history
• Working knowledge of diverse fabric types and their specific theatrical uses
• Basic crew management skills
