Process Engineering Lead

Role Overview

The Process Engineering Lead is responsible for performing all aspects of complete designs of process engineering assignments. This role requires a regular on-site presence in Kingsport, TN. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of process engineering and design functions, as well as excellent communication skills.

What You Will Do

Primary responsibilities include developing and implementing project-specific process design execution plans, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and participating in process safety design activities. The Process Engineering Lead will also forecast, monitor, and report actual progress for process discipline activities, and produce estimate-level preliminary and final designs.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Biochemical, or other related field, and 3+ years of relevant industrial experience in chemical, petroleum, or biochemical process design engineering. Professional Engineering registration or CPIP certification is highly preferred.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Biochemical, or other related field
• 3+ years of relevant industrial experience in chemical, petroleum, or biochemical process design engineering
• Professional Engineering registration or CPIP certification
• Working knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD or Microstation)
• Proficient in Microsoft suite
• Working knowledge of hydraulic simulation software (Fluid Flow, AFT Fathom, AFT Arrow, PIPEPHASE, PIPE-FLO, and/or SiNet)
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Familiarity with specifications and installation details of equipment, instrumentation, and piping
