Structural Engineer V

Role Overview

Responsible for performing all aspects of complete design of complex civil/structural engineering assignments. Requires extensive progressive experience in civil/structural engineering and involves applying advanced engineering techniques and analysis.

What You Will Do

Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies, produce estimate level preliminary designs, detail design calculations, and sketches for materials of construction. Check calculations made by other engineers, assist in resolving layout and detailing problems, and provide technical guidance to less experienced personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
• Professional Engineering registration
• 10+ years of relevant industrial experience in civil/structural engineering
• Knowledge and application of the International Building Code and associated standards
• Expertise with civil/structural analysis software
• Knowledge of discipline specific methods, practices and techniques
• Ability to lead a small to large team
• Working knowledge of CAD software
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Good communication skills
