The Graduate Assistant/Office of Institutional Diversity position supports the planning, coordination, and implementation of programs and initiatives that promote community and belonging on campus. The Graduate Assistant will play an integral role in developing and facilitating initiatives throughout the academic year and in our summer programs that support the personal development of students.
Requirements
- Plan and organize logistics to execute two signature summer programs for incoming freshmen
- Assist in training student mentors for SI and NISSO programs
- Develop assessment tools to gather data to evaluate programs and determine areas of improvement
- Provide outreach, education and engagement with diverse student populations
- Maintain the OID website, create social media content and marketing flyers
- Support our international student population through programs and 1:1 or small group meetings
- Research resources and learning material that could assist students in their personal development
- Advise leaders from various student organizations during event planning phases and collaborate on events
- Aid in proctoring exams for the Office of Accessible Education
- Perform administrative tasks such as creating spreadsheets, tracking event attendance, budgeting, etc.
