Job Description
Hatch is seeking a highly motivated Senior Traction Power Engineer to join their Rail Systems team in the North American Infrastructure group in the Chicago, IL area. The role involves leading a team of junior engineers in the development of traction power design packages, including design of substations, feeder and equipment sizing, and coordinating with other engineers for systems integration. The position requires a detail-oriented, problem-solving individual with excellent communication skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 15 to 25 years of experience with dc traction power systems design
- Working knowledge of NFPA 70 is required, and thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local codes
- Professional engineer’s license or engineer-in-training certificate is an advantage
- Relevant experience may be considered as a substitute for degree requirements
